Why do I choose the topic “The re-engineering of Pao-An Kung Temple — a traditional folk religious temple ” as my research? The main reason is that if the traditional temples are restored to their original condition, they will become good examples/types. In the case study, the success of restoring Pao-An Kung Temple is a special deviance case. Therefore, it is worth researching the case.
This thesis works on Pao-An Kung temple as a preliminary study in order to have a deep and micro view on the substance of temple restoration. The present study exhibits that the elite ideology and elite interaction of the public organization are the critical factors on reconstruction of temple organization, recreate of temple art, and replant of temple culture. |
