In the late nineteenth and early twentieth-century, an observable trend of migration to South Seas had emerged in Fuchien and Guangdong Province. Amongst the cities in the two provinces, Kinmen, a place situated at south Fuchine, were seen with vast migrants to Southeast Asia due to its unfavorable condition of natural environment , politics, economy and communication. Since then, Kinmen has earned the name of〝Hometown of Overseas Chinese〝. |
