Kinmen traditional house is the basic composition unit of the landscapes of Kinmen, also the most important carrier of living culture. However, with the growth of economy, depression of traditional construction, and the declination of the population of traditional cluster, the broken and deserted traditional houses are more and more. Till 1995, the establishment of Kinmen National Park, traditional clusters and houses had been into the stage of conservation. Many traditional houses had acquired the rewarding and subsidy of rehabilitation, but most not really renovated. The thesis takes the typical traditional cluster Chyonglin for research region and subject. And adaptive reuse is the concept of the study, it emphasizes that the renovation of traditional houses has to go with the conservation and development of the cluster. |
