This thesis is a chronological research on the relation eengeometric transformations and social evolution of Hsin-Kang ,Taiwan. The discussion in the thesis can be summarized in following aspects 1. How do spatial forms interact with social structure? Also, by what mechanism does social structure effect the develo- pment of spaces? 2. What spatial forms and meanings do settlement represent the effect of historical and social power under the speci- al juncture? To conclude, spaces in Hsin-Kang was changed from a introverted ,local and produce prior uses in Ching-Dynasty to a merchant to a merchant production center controlled by the Japanese Empire. |
