Dry, wet and bulk deposition in Changhua City were collected in 2001 to examine its chemical composition and evaluate its relationship with meteorological factors. Factor analysis was used to evaluate relationships of ions in precipitation to provide a quantitative determination of sources of rainwater contamination. Annual volume-weighted mean pH was 4.91 with approximately half of the precipitation events had pH < 5.0, the commonly used level for acid rain classification. |
