Lanyu is an offshore island located on the east coast of Taiwan and particular noteworthy biographically because of high rates of taxonomic affinities with Philippines. The Yami is the only aborigine who lives in Lanyu and rely on the natural resources from forest such as food, cloth, house, fishing and medical uses. Therefore, this proposal is aim to evaluate the effect to forest by the Yami in Lanyu. The vegetation is classified into five vegetation types according to different use by the Yami, i. e., primary forest, timberland, fuel forest, burial ground, and farmland. |
