This research uses an urban space to analyze spatial transformation. It attempts to understand the factors that effect urban development in a metropolitan area. These factors include environmental resources, urban infrastructure, industrial/economic transformation, political changes and religious beliefs. Based on this research background and motivation, the project has the following goals: 1. To use a field investigation in combination with a literature review to present a basic profile of Lo-Dong town. 2. To discuss the formation of city streets and other urban systems in order to clearly understand the development process of Lo-Dong town. 3. To show how changes over time to the economy and industry of Lo-Dong town are of the greatest importance in capturing the essence of its spatial transformation. |
