The purposes of this study are to investigate (1) the electrostratigraphic characteristics and the depositional environment of the I-lan Plain,(2) the history of the development of the alluvial fans,（3）the distribution of groundwater, and also the range of possible contaminated groundwater,（4）the boundary between the fresh and saline water under the sand dune along the coast. The direct current resistivity method was used in the study. Seventy-eight vertitical electrical soundings (VES) and Two resistivity image profilings (RIP) were conducted in the study area. |
