The main theme of this research is to study the meaning and the culture of the renewed usage of historical sites’ external environment. Under a series of planning and proper protection of the surrounding environment, both of the historical building and the external environment will get advantage at the same time. Under the new co-ordination between the historical sites’ and the external environment, a complete historical environment can then be reproduced. Accordingly, the culture of the historical sites’can be extended from internal to external environment which refreshes the spirit of people. Through the usage of environment analysis, landscape analysis and historical factor, we can then establish the methods and principles of renewing the usage of the historical sites’.
