The paper investigates the marine communities around breakwaters at Hsin-Chu fishery harbor from 12-month field sampling of seawater and marine organisms on armored blocks. Spatial distribution of seawater and species richness of organisms on armored blocks are first evaluated by statistically analyzing 8-station sampling data. Using cluster analysis and principal factor analysis the spatial and temporal distributions of seawater and marine organisms are obtained. Finally the relationship of both distributions of seawater and marine organisms is established by Pearson correlation
