Studies regarding the meaning in life and community participation in elderly are also rare. Hence, this study is to explore the relationships between community participation and meaning in life for elderly.Participants:One hundred and ninty-eight elderly living in Chi-An area, Hualian were interviewed. They were conscious-alert to time, environment and people; Chinese or Taiwanese spoken, or no problems on reading and writing.
