The testing materials of this research were obtained from the Huwa-Lien Hsin-Chen-Shan marble mine of Asia Cement Company.The reflection peak strength obtained from the marble X-ray reflection tests were used to calculate the
volume percentage of calcite on various cutting faces according to the poly-crystalline reflection theory.By using this methodology, the preferred orientation of the calcite can be analysed.
