The main purpose of this thesis is to discuss the water resource area and land utilization it''s erosion and it''s effect to the river bank. On Oct. 15,1998, the ZEB typhoon swept over Fonyiken, Fongling town in Hualien County that brought abundant rain(805mm) which caused the upper water resource area to a collapse followed by plenty of Debris-flow that covered the residential and cultivated land of number 14 and 15 area at Fonyili.The study offers a valuable analytical information.
