This purpose of the study is to realize that the children’s homely use of language in Meinung where Hakka is dialect and that the variation of intelligence and related situation among the children who have proficiency at both Chinese and Hakka or only at Hakka . The methodology of this study combined survey research. Using questionnaire to investigate 302 children who are senior in kindergarten in Meinung to realize the children’s homely use of language as well as to investigate the relation between the children’s language proficiency and their parents’ language, proficiency, career, education, the language used to communicate with their children. On the second part, to research about the relation of the children’s Chinese and Hakka proficiency and Intelligence.The statistic method we used are descriptive statistics, χ2 analysis, ANOVA, t-test.
