The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of physical fitness on elementary school high-grade students after The New Style Gymnastics activities for 12-week. Sixty students of five-grade of Yeong-An elementary school, Kaoshioung, Taiwan were elected as the subjects. The experimental group consisted of 15 boys and 15 girls, too. The subjects of experiment carry out 3-day a week of 12-week The New Style Gymnastics activities about five minutes a time, and the subjects of control weren’t. The experimental group and the control group had to go through all the testing events before and after the training. The test method was used the standard way of Education Ministry, Taiwan, R.O.C.,including (1)body mass index, (2)sit and research, (3)standing boarding jump, (4)30 and 60 seconds curl-ups,and (5)800m run. A dependent t-test was run to compare the differences of physical fitness between the experimental and control group before the training and the result appeared that the homogeneity between two groups was high.
