The main purpose of this study was to explore the effects of meditation on academic adjustment and achievement of elementary high school students.The subjects were 78 seventh grade students in two classes from KangShan elementary high school. The two classes were randomly assigned to experimental group and control group. Experimental group meditation for three minutes after bell ring in the beginning of the classes. At the same time, the control group was not intervened by meditation. The experimental intervention of this study was conducted over a time span of thirteen weeks.
Nonequivalent-control group design was conducted for this study.
