This study explores the reasons behind the formation of city streets in Gangshan Township and their developing process from historical records, then through physical investigation and visitation to understand how city streets in Gangshan Township expanded after the war and to see the change of core region during the process. Finally, a questionnaire survey is conducted to examine residents' perceptive attitudes toward Gangshan Township's environmental quality, city image and city development
