There were three purposes for this study. One was to investigate the misconception of the evaporation, condensation and boil of water among 4th, 5th and 6th graders in Hsinwu County. Another was to study the relationship between the misconception and the occupations of pupils’ parents and to find the relationship between the misconception and the pupils’ grades. The third was to build up a pupils’ mental model.
