The study attempts to proceed with local art curriculum and instruction at an elementary school in order to find out how to apply and represent the ideas of the elementary local art instruction in teaching ，so that it can be the reference of practical teaching in the future.There are three main purposes of this study ：1. To analyze and describe the main theories of local art education.2.To discuss the useful way of the local art curriculum and instruction at an elementary school. 3. To make suggestion from the application of local art education ideas to elementary art instruction.First , explain the main theories of the local art education and then classify , analyse and discuss them to see how those theories put in to practice in practical teaching design. Finally try to proceed this study with the action research way, design the teaching procedure based on the local art education ideas, and then understand how it really works.
