The aspects include the family and its political power, and public affairs the family was involved. That is, to study the Liu family, the bibliographical records collected concerning the development of the family before Japanese occupation was employed horizontally, and those concerning the sociological change faced and those concerning the
actions taken in response to political change were employed longitudinally.
