The purpose of this thesis is to review the draft of the Indigenous Autonomy Act proposed in 2000 by Taiwan's Council of Aboriginal Affairs and evaluate its feasibility. This thesis first explores how past state-oriented indigenous policies implemented by various administrations in Taiwan have impacted and influenced the survival of indigenous people. |
