These Components are included in this thesis, investigation of arsenic in Taiwan’s high arsenic content ground water, change of arsenic form in ground water, and removal of arsenic using activated alumina (Al2O3) techniques. To understand the arsenic content in the ground water in the South Western Coast Area and Lan-Yang Plain in North Eastern Area, sampling and analysis of ground water was conducted for 40 water wells in the area. Arsenic concentrations in the ground water of Lan-Yang Plain were found to be as high as 0.3 mg/L, while those in the South Western Coast Area were found to be near 1 mg/L. |
