First, based upon the most obvious character of the land subsidence due to an over-draft of the groundwater from a confined aquifer, the maximum possible ranges of the above two controlling parameters are determined from definitions of the two controlling parameters. And then, the collection, the surveying, the rearrangement and the analysis of data of Pingtong, in the period from 1970 to 1971, are performed. Based the number of Well, there are data for different well sizes, different pumping discharges, different pumping periods, and different well depths; locations selected to survey are Linpen and Chatong.
